safeguarding measures at blackbushe airport

The airspace around Blackbushe Airport needs to be safeguarded during our opening hours, to allow the safe passage of air traffic – you can help ensure this happens.

fireworks, lasers, & lanterns

As fireworks and laser shows can distract or endanger aircraft, the CAA offer guidance for anyone planning a major firework, laser show or sky lantern release. If we know of a major event we can alert pilots and air traffic control in advance. The CAA are able to offer advice on any sort of event and strongly recommend that you contact them if you are planning a show near an airfield or where aircraft regularly fly.

If you’re planning a fireworks display, an event using lasers, or a balloon or sky lantern launch in the vicinity of Blackbushe, please get in touch. It’s likely most events will take place when the aerodrome is closed, but we can access the safety implications of any event and provide information to pilots. Use the safeguarding@blackbusheairport.co.uk address and tell us where and when your event is along with any other relevant information.
