AIRPORT id card

All pilots of home-based aircraft must have a valid Airport ID Card which can be obtained from the airport administration office. Student pilots do not need an Airport ID card until such time as they embark on solo flights.

WHY ID CARDS?

  • Ensures all home-based pilots are known to airport and can be contacted if required

  • Ensures important safety information / airport availability information can be communicated to all users

  • Assists with managing the security of the site

  • Authorises pilots to operate OOH in summer months

  • Authorises pilots to drive airside with appropriate insurance

  • Discount in the Pathfinder Café!

WHO NEEDS ONE?

  • Any pilot operating a based aircraft (including instructors).

  • Any student pilot who is operating a flying school aircraft solo.

APPLICATION PROCESS

ID Cards cost £4.17 + VAT / £5.00 incl VAT which covers the cost of the printing.

  1. Complete the ID Application Form

  2. Take a photo of yourself against a plain background using a smartphone

  3. Email the completed form and picture to idcard@blackbusheairport.co.uk

ID Cards are typically printed up once a week on a Tuesday / Wednesday. When ready, they will be dropped to the Pathfinder Café for collection. The ID Card fee will be payable on collection in the café.
